22nd June 2017– Agents Giving Day

Thank you to those who helped make a difference by doing something great for charity this Agents Giving Day – 22nd June 2017.

We invited the whole property industry to get ready and organise some great fundraising events for Agents Giving Day 22nd June, to help raise funds for the amazing charities and causes we all support in the UK. Whether it was a coffee morning or jumping out a plane, volunteering at your local homeless shelter, or donating a day’s salary, we urged you to get your whole team involved and have fun for a 24-hr period. And you did so thank you.

Some of those who were involved were, Paramount, Thomas Morris Sales & Lettings branches, Fine & Country Bury St Edmunds, RAN, Coalters, LCA Recruitment, Ravensworth and Clear Property.

It’s not too late! Some of you have planned events for a later date – so good luck and don’t forget to send us some photos of your fundraising event.

Paramount

“At Paramount, we believe it’s really important to be active and give back to the local community and we do this by supporting the Brent Food Bank. We don’t think it is right that there are people living in our community without enough food so we do everything we can to help Brent Food Bank collect essential goods.

Brent Food Bank, set up by The Trussell Trust, helps to combat poverty and deprivation in the West London borough. They have been doing amazing work to help people in crisis, and we are really happy to be raising money for them at this year’s Agents Giving Day 2017.

Our aim is to minimise and eventually eradicate poverty in the borough by not only providing people with a food parcels containing three days-worth of nutritionally-balanced food but also to provide additional help through our More Than Food Projects which serves to hasten the process to returning people to a position where they are no longer reliant on foodbanks or the state for support.

Having spent my formative years in the area, it’s been a wonderful opportunity to be involved with the food bank, reconnecting with an area very close to my heart. It’s been both humbling and rewarding. I’ve been very lucky to meet some great people along the way, both the incredible volunteers and those who rely on food parcels on a weekly basis, their stories are upsetting but often very inspiring.” – Spencer Lawrence, MD Lettings

“I’ve been involved with charities for many years now, having come from working in a charity myself. I believe one of the most important things to remember is to have fun. I want my team to enjoy whatever mad idea we come up with next, to get engaged in the process and during this time they learn a little bit about some amazing people and organisations. This Agent’s Giving Day we will be doing a London themed pub quiz and I can’t want to experience my colleagues competitive spirits and to help our local food bank!”

“We have previously collected funds on behalf of the food bank, and acted as a drop-off point so people in the local area can deliver non-perishable goods”. – Kyla Irwin-Williams, Business Development Manager

RAN – Relocation Across the Nation

Relocation Agent Network launched its #RelocationAcrosstheNation fundraising event on 22 June, helping to raise money for Agents Giving by using the estate agency membership’s Referral Network. Between 22 June and 31 July 2017, participating members will donate £1 to Agents Giving, each time they either send or receive a customer referral. As a network of estate agents across England, Scotland and Wales, Relocation Agent Network members refer home buyers and sellers to one another. Should a customer plan to relocate to another area of the country, their local Network agent can recommend that the member in the destination location assist in their move.

Managing Director of Relocation Agent Network, Richard Tucker said, “Agents Giving is a fantastic organisation who makes a real impact to charities and local communities, and we are proud to support them. We’re delighted that so many of our Relocation Agent Network members are joining us in this fundraising effort and we look forward to seeing how much we can raise in the coming weeks.”
