Fundraising Champion Awards 2016/17 – Open for entries

Agents Giving are proud to announce that we are once again celebrating this year’s Fundraising Champions. So many of you deserve a huge well done from the wider industry and these awards act to recognise the great work you all do to make a real difference for your charities and causes in your local communities.

Paramount_ChampionsThere have been some great examples of fundraising to support local charities and generate support for your work in the last year, with many different types of fundraising events and challenges all organised to raise vital funds for some really worthwhile and important causes.

The Categories for this year are:

Best Team or Company Fundraising
Recognising the team or company that has really committed to raising money and showing support over a period of time, who have organised on-going events, and have involved their whole team in their fundraising effort and most of all had fun in the process.

Best Individual Fundraising
This category celebrates those people who do the most extraordinary challenges, and show a real personal commitment to their fundraising and the story behind their efforts.

Best Creative Fundraising
Highlights those imaginative and different fundraising ideas, which still go the extra mile to make a difference to the cause.

Best Industry Supplier Fundraising
This category thanks the efforts of the suppliers to the industry that do such a great job fundraising and supporting charities and causes by donating time or their services to those in need of them.

Special Fundraising Award
This is for the person or company who consistently goes the extra mile and has shown extraordinary determination and motivation to provide on-going support to their cause in whatever way they can.

Best Agency CSR Award – New for 2017
It isn’t just about recognizing agents for responsible and sustainable practices. It is about rewarding change, building platforms to learn, share and put in place ideas and encouraging ethical business practices.

This award aims to recognise agents that puts Social Responsibility and CSR at its base, demonstrating its commitment to change and improvement.

2016_champion_thomas_morrisThe judges will look for proof of a clear, well communicated CSR approach that is fully integrated into the agents everyday business approaches as well as examples of projects and strategies that have a positive impact on the agent’s local community, for example, environmental consideration, charity work or donations or local employment and education.

The judges will particularly look at commitment, consistency and imagination, both in terms of the CSR policy itself and the awareness and involvement of the whole team as well as the monetary value of donations.

Supporting Material
For any entries please provide the following:

  • Company logo – EPS format or JPEG
  • A company photo which sums up your organisation and fundraising event, upto five photos can be provided, the images will be used for presentation purposes

Entry Notes

  • It is free to enter the Agents Giving Fundraising Champion Awards
  • Entrants may submit entries in any category they choose
  • Any agent who has received a Rightmove grant in the last year from September 2016 will automatically be entered into the awards.
  • All other agents and suppliers must enter using the approved entry form below and by providing the requested supporting material.
  • Entry deadline Friday 15th September
  • All shortlisted agents/suppliers will be notified directly by Friday 29th September
  • Winners will be announced on Friday 8th December 2017 at the Agents Giving Charity Ball – Agents Giving Fundraising Champions of The Year Awards


  • You must be an estate, letting agent or supplier to the industry to enter
  • All entries must be submitted via the approved entry form on the Agents Giving website or emailed to
  • All supporting material must be provided at the time of submitting the entry form
  • Entrants must abide by entry deadlines
  • Entrants may submit as many entries as they wish
  • The Agents Giving board of Directors make the final decision on the shortlisted agents and final winners, the board’s decision is final, no correspondence will be entered into
  • All shortlisted agents will be notified directly by 29th September 2017
  • All winners will be announced on 8th December 2017 at the Agents Giving Charity Ball at the Agents Giving Fundraising Champion Awards

2016 Agents Giving Fundraising Champions

The third annual Agents Giving Ball, hosted at The Lancaster London Hotel, celebrated the outstanding fundraising efforts of the property industry, which has succeeded in raising over £1m for charities across the country.

Agents Giving’s fundraising champions were also named at the ball and presented their award by the Agents Giving Patron Phil Spencer.



Bassets Estate Agents have organised events including skydives, golf days and an Indian dinner under a marquee at Salisbury Cathedral.  Their passion for local community is amazing, with offices raising funds for local charities The Trussell Trust, The Salisbury Trust, Splash Wiltshire and Alabare with the help of all the team and raised £25k.

Kathryn Hunter of Hawkmoth Estate and Lettings Agents, has organised many events supporting a range of charities including MIND, Cancer research and the Oasis Project and also set up a charity to campaign against teenage self-harming  raising funds along the way for other causes in her local Milton Keynes.

Ravensworth have helped Agents Giving and so many other charities with their print support over the years as well a taking on their own fundraising activities in the office raising funds for local charities.  Thanks go out to the team at Ravensworth.

Melissa Green, X1 Lettings – Melissa and the team at X1 have faced their own personal challenges and have been constantly working in their community on new and fun ideas to raise funds.  They are passionate about raising awareness and funds to help their supported Cancer charities.

2014/2015 Agents Giving Fundraising Champions


Paramount, in North London, continue their unending support for local charities and also for Agents Giving. Over the past year they have turned their office in to Santa’s grotto and handed out gifts to local children, they have donated gifts to the children’s ward of their local hospital, they have taken turns cooking at a local homeless centre, they take part in Wrap Up London, an annual coat collection for the homeless, they took part in Agents Giving Day, with an annual office based summer fete, and continue to act as a drop of point for the Brent Food bank.


Luke Jones


Luke Jones of Fresh Start Properties in Bridge End. Luke has undertaken two huge challenges, running the equivalent of 5 marathons in 5 days from Hollyhead to Cardiff] and at the end of August he undertook the 5 Peaks Challenge.



Premier Lettings – Bath. In a scheme to raise money for the school, each child was given a pound to “grow”. 329 children took part and that £329 was grown in to over £5,000! The children held a huge range of activities from pop-up markets, a dog show, a mini football academy, a shoe cleaning business and a guess the name of a teddy bear completion. The average raised per child in the three months was £17, a return on investment that I think we would all be happy with!



Inspired by Managing Director, Peter Grant’s wife, Claire, a brave cancer fighter, VTUK have raised over £40,000 for two cancer charities. They have worn pink, they have taken part in extreme obstacle course, cycled from London to Paris, organised a charity ball and most recently, organised a chilli eating competition. Cleary fundraising has become an important part of what VTUK does and acknowledge that not only does it benefit the charities that they are supporting, but make them a better company and better people.


Avery Team Agents Giving Award

Avery Estate Agents organised a charity ball to raise money for an incubator unit for their local special care baby unit. They raised enough money to buy two – and are still going strong. Event with an ambitious fundraising target, the commitment was so strong that they doubled that target… and aren’t about to stop any time soon!
