David Lee employee who lost both legs to cycle the Tour of Suffolk for a charity close to his heart

Two employees from Estate Agency, David Lee, are set to take on the Tour of Suffolk in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity on the 14th and 15th May. A keen cyclist and sporting inspiration, Shaun, who lost his legs after he was involved in a hit  and run in July 2016, will brave the gruelling two-day challenge with his colleague and cousin, Lee O’Brien. To complete the 150 mile challenge, Shaun recently took delivery of a specially designed hand bike.

East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) is a charity that offers a helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) for the people of East Anglia. EAAA aims to provide the best possible outcomes for people unfortunate enough to be involved in medical emergencies.

Lee O’Brien, Sales Manager at David Lee, comments: “Shaun has a considerable journey ahead of him but he has proven his strength, determination and perseverance through his love of cycling and feels that this is his opportunity to give back to his chosen charity and the people of the East Anglian Air Ambulance.”

Spokesperson from The East Anglian Air Ambulance adds: “We feel very honoured to be the recipient of Lee and Shaun’s thoughtfulness. Their hard work and generosity will help us save many more lives.”

Lee and Shaun have been supported by a Rightmove support grant to assist towards the costs involved in the challenge. With one week left to train, they are determined to raise £2,500 in donations.
