The summer of fun-raising events

There seems to be no end to the imagination when it comes to fundraising within the property industry community, whether it is paddling the waterways of England, or throwing themselves down a hill in a home-made, gravity powered go cart.

Andy Trantum of Embrace Mortgages Services took on a personal challenge and paddled over 350 miles over 20 days averaging 17 miles a day.  Andy and outdoor pursuits expert, Danny Hodge were joined on various legs by Jon Cooke from Your Move, Rob Caldwell of Lenwell, Tracey Douglas-Jones of Davis Tate, and on the last day, which was also the hottest day of the year, they were joined by Jane Webber of Agents Giving and AG Patron, Phil Spencer.

The Soapbox Challenge, organised by Agency Express raising money for Agents Giving brought teams together in an event which challenged their engineering ability and their bottle! On a sunny June day in the beautiful grounds of Penn House in Buckinghamshire, the teams summoned their inner Formula 1 racing drivers to test their machines to the limit. Joining Agency Express on the start line were Expert Agent, Gilson Bailey, Marchand Petit, CB Slade and Rushbrook & Rathbone.

Agents Giving Day on 19 June, was a day for the industry to come together and “do something great for charity”.  Paramount in north London brought all the fun of the fair to the office and set up games and challenges for the team. The Property Software Group, including Vebra and Jupix focussed on fashion and added a twist to dress-down-Friday by all wearing purple clothes with spots and stripes.

The next big date in the diary for Agents Giving is the ball on 25 September at The Marriott in Grosvenor Square where they will be announcing their Fundraising Champions for 2015, which will be presented by Patron Phil Spencer.  To enter and to book your tickets to the ball, go to http://agentsgiving.org/pt-event/agents-giving-ball-2015
