We took on the Walk of Hope
Ellie Jefferies and the team at Lex Alan Grove Estate Agents took on the Walk of Hope on Sunday 20th November 2022 in aid of Brain Tumour Research.
Ellie comments “We took up the challenge for doing the ‘Walk of Hope’ on Sunday 20th November in aid of Brain Tumour Research.
The route had been set at over 20 miles, starting at our Hagley office at 9:00am and taking in the Halesowen & Stourbridge offices, as well as a scenic walk over the Clent Hills, finishing back at Hagley.
I hope you looked out for us in our pink T-shirts! Everyone had been welcome to join us for all or part of the walk.

Our vision is to find a cure for brain tumours.
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
The Brain Tumour Research charity is determined to change this.
We are the only national charity in the UK dedicated to funding continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours. We are a leading voice in this country calling for greater support and action for research into brain tumours. Treatments for brain tumour patients lag seriously behind other cancers. The national investment in brain tumour research needs to increase to £30-£35 million each year.
We are building a network of experts in sustainable research at dedicated Centres of Excellence whilst influencing the Government and larger cancer charities to invest more nationally.
Through our Centres we are supporting one of the UK’s largest collaboration of laboratory-based brain tumour scientists, progressing world-class research into brain tumours, working tirelessly to understand this disease. They collaborate across the network of our four Centres of Excellence – based at Imperial College in London, Queen Mary University of London, the University of Plymouth and the University of Portsmouth – as well as with other research institutions locally, nationally and internationally. Our researchers are continually publishing their peer-reviewed results in leading scientific journals.
We are supported across the UK by numerous Member Charities that have united under our national Brain Tumour Research charity banner. Our collective voice carries greater weight in nationwide media coverage and adds weight to our political campaigning action.
