Moneypenny ‘walking off Christmas’ for charity 21 Dec 2023
We did it! Walking up Flintshire's Moel Famau and Moel Arthur
Update – On a cold wet day. The ‘walking off Christmas’ for charity had been very challenging taking 6.5 hours as there were very wet and icy conditions! It was a tough one, but we had fun all the same! We have raised £585 so far……….
Stephanie Vaughan–Jones and the team at Moneypenny are organising a challenge in aid of Agents Giving charity and Agents Together. The aim is to raise money for a worthy cause whilst getting some beautiful, fresh air in the Welsh mountains – and walk off those Christmas festive pounds!
On Saturday 20th January, Moneypenny invites the property sector, friends and family to put on their walking boots for a great day climbing up Flintshire’s Moel Famau and Moel Arthur, followed by a pub get-together for some well-earned refreshments.
Moneypenny’s property team and friends within the industry together for this awesome event
Moneypenny says: “We have been working with estate agents since 2007, so we’re thrilled to be supporting Agents Together who provide lots of personal and professional help to our colleagues in the industry, and Agents Giving who encourage, support and promote fundraising activities of agents and suppliers across the UK. Our very own Samantha Jones, Commercial Director for Bespoke Customer Teams at Moneypenny, was one of the founder members of Agents Together during the pandemic in 2020 and is also a trustee. We’re delighted to be bringing Moneypenny’s property team and friends within the industry together for this awesome event for such a good cause.”
The challenge
We’ll be meeting at the top Moel Famau Country Park car park at 7:30am on Saturday 20th January 2024 – exact what3words location is ///hobble.passwords.device
We’ll then be walking both Moel Famau and Moel Arthur, which takes approximately 4 hours, before finishing back at the car park.
Please be prepared for a winter hike; wear warm clothing and make sure to bring refreshments and snacks. There are some pubs and restaurants nearby, which we can visit after the walk. This is a beautiful part of the world and, providing we have a clear day, there are some stunning views!
