Godfrey Haire, Associate Operations Director of Cubitt & West is definitely no stranger to charity fundraising. Godfrey has raised thousands of pounds for the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. Godfrey comments “The Rainbow Trust has been a massive part our lives. Having a poorly child is what no parent dreams of and Nikki, our support worker, has always been on hand to help with anything we have needed. From school pick up, hospital visits and just keeping us all smiling. There has even been the odd nerf battle!
This year I wanted to thank them as they get zero funds from the Government and so myself and some crazy friends have come up with the following;
For the whole of May, I will row and sail to France and back 3 times which is roughly 96,000 meters.
On the 5th to the 7th July, myself, and friends Paul and Geoff, will take on the Tarka Trail in Devon. This is a 180 mile, walking and cycling trail traversing North Devon and Exmoor and features the longest, traffic-free cycle route in the UK.
On 7th/8th September I will be partaking in the South Coast Ultra challenge which is 57km and 1250m of climbing which is the best of the South Coast & Sveen Sisters.
The question is why and it’s simple – sometimes you have to give something back!!! Every penny raised will help this amazing charity and we all want to thank you so much!”
The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. When a child has a serious illness, family life is turned upside down and time becomes more precious than ever. The Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support, whenever they need it, for as long as is needed. They support the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters and grandparents.
Agents Giving and the Guild of Property Professionals are delighted to support such an amazing charity.
