Providing high-quality, safe, and affordable housing to young people
Angharad Trueman and team of Andrews Property Group have smashed their fundraising target and raised over £6,000 for the [establish] project, with more still coming in.
Angharad comments “We couldn’t have done it without our amazing colleagues, who baked, biked, raffled, and so much more across the country, to make it a success. Every team took part and did their bit.
[establish] is a project set up by Andrews Charitable Trust. The project provides high-quality, safe, and affordable housing to young people vulnerable to homelessness – often care leavers – helping them grow into fully independent adults. 21 young people are housed in 7 properties”.
The money raised will fund 12 deposits for [establish] tenants
“Andrews Charitable Trust partner with local youth support organisations who provide ongoing weekly support to the residents. Andrews Property Group provide housing management services directly and liaise regularly with the [establish] tenants.
Hearing about the tenants’ experiences reminds us just how transformative safe, affordable, stable housing can be. It’s not just about providing a home; it’s about offering a foundation for these young people to build their futures.
The money raised will fund 12 deposits for [establish] tenants when they move on to the private rental sector. Saving for a deposit is challenging for many young people, so this support is essential”.
