Climbing for Courage - Fundraising for Hope
Estate Agency Owner Sarka Wilde of Distinct Property Consultants is no stranger to fundraising for many great causes. Sarka will be taking on the Aconcagua Ascent in aid of Propertymark Trust
Sarka tells “Hello, I’m Sarka – estate agency owner, entrepreneur, coach, mentor, and passionate advocate for mental health and resilience. In January 2026, I’ll be taking on the biggest physical challenge of my life: climbing Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the Americas, standing at 6,961 metres.
I’m not just doing this for the thrill or the view (though I hear they’re spectacular). I’m doing it to raise vital funds for the Propertymark Trust – a charity that supports property professionals and their families facing hardship, be it financial, mental, or medical. This cause is incredibly close to my heart.
My journey to this mountain hasn’t been easy. I’ve overcome domestic violence, survived seven arm fractures (held together with 17 screws and 2 plates), battled serious health issues, and navigated grief and loss, including the heartbreaking suicide of my mum and the pain of miscarriage. All while running my business alone through economic storms”.
I want to show what’s possible
“When I needed support most, I didn’t know where to turn. I felt isolated. That’s why I’m climbing – not just a mountain, but a metaphor for life’s toughest challenges. Step by step, no matter how steep, I want to show what’s possible—and ensure others never have to face their own mountains alone.
