Graham lived most of his life with Diabetes

Barrie Curtis, HR, Onboarding and Office Manager at Stephen Tew Estate Agents, Blackpool is no stranger to fundraising for charity.  On 26th April, Barrie will once again be putting on his trainers in aid of Diabetes UK.

Barrie tells “Over the years I have taken part in multiple half marathons including the Great North Run and The Great Manchester Run for numerous charities such as Lancashire Mind, Dystonia and Diabetes UK.

In January 2024 we sadly lost my father in law, Graham Blant to bladder cancer after a brief illness. Graham was also Stephen’s uncle for who I work for at Stephen Tew Estate Agents.

Graham lived most of his life with Diabetes and last year, I was fortunate enough to be granted a charity place to run the London Marathon for Diabetes UK in memory of my father-in-law raising just shy of £10,000″.

Graham has left a huge hole in our lives

“I have been fortunate enough to be granted a charity place for the 2026 London Marathon, and I will again be running in memory of my father-in-law for Diabetes UK which was a hugely important charity to him.

In addition, it gives me and our family an opportunity to host fundraising events and reminisce about a fantastic person we have all lost and not to mention the significant impact this has had on my wife Nicola, our 3 Children, Mia, Olly and Agnes and my mother-in-law Jill.

Graham has left a huge hole in our lives, and I want to do my upmost to make him proud and raise fund for such a hugely important charity whilst continuing to make a positive impact ensuring that Graham’s memory lives on”.

Agents Giving and The Guild of Property Professionals are honoured to support Barrie running in aid of Diabetes UK.

Good luck!!!
