Those who know me know I'm not a fan of exercise
Stephanie Gray and Sam Fryer of Nicholas Humphreys Estate and Lettings Agents Norwich will be taking on their first ever fundraising event, walking a marathon on 3rd July 2026.
They will be walking the full 26 miles of Marriotts Way which runs between Aylsham and Norwich, and then finishing up at our office a further half mile away.
Steph says “Those who know me know I’m not a fan of exercise in the slightest, walking a marathon instead of running may seem easier to some but this is going to be a crazy challenge for me, and I’m happy to have Sam with me every step of the way for moral support and possibly to pick me up and drag me if needed!”
Last year, Sam and Steph both received news of someone close to them being diagnosed with cancer, Steph’s cousin and Sam’s close friend he’s grown up with. They wanted to help in any way they could and came up with the idea of the marathon to raise money.
Star Throwers supporting people through every stage of cancer
Stephanie tells “Any money raised will be going to local Norfolk charity, Star Throwers. Star Throwers is a cancer support charity dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer, from diagnosis through to life after cancer.
They provide nurse-led cancer information sessions to help people to become well-informed about their cancer and all of their treatment options, including clinical trials and they help people to manage the effects of their cancer and cancer treatments through our wellbeing support.
All of the support Star Throwers offers is available to cancer patients and carers (age 18+) with any form of cancer at any stage of diagnosis and is completely free of charge, thanks to their amazing donors and supporters. Steph says “I’m very proud to be able to support such a great cause in any way I can.”
