Angharad Trueman PPARLA Past President ARLA Propertymark & Group Lettings Director at Andrews Property Group along with her fellow Trustees of the Propertymark Trust are putting on their trainers on in aid of charity. Angharad, Trustee said “This year, I’m incredibly proud to be arranging the Propertymark Trust 5K Fun Run at Propertymark One, helping raise funds and awareness for a charity that does genuinely vital work within our industry.
As a trustee of the Propertymark Trust, I’ve seen first-hand the positive impact the charity has on property professionals and their families during some of the most challenging moments in their lives. The Trust exists to support members facing hardship, financial difficulties, illness, wellbeing challenges and barriers to professional development. It also helps fund qualifications and educational opportunities for those looking to build a future within the property profession.
The property industry can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be demanding and at times overwhelming. Through hardship grants, mental health support, wellbeing initiatives and educational bursaries, the Propertymark Trust provides confidential support for people who may otherwise have nowhere to turn. Knowing the difference this support can make is a huge reason why this event is so important to me personally”.
“What makes the Fun Run particularly special is that it brings the industry together in such a positive way. Agents, suppliers and professionals from across the sector will all be coming together before Propertymark One to support a shared cause, raise money and create awareness for the Trust’s work. It’s a brilliant example of the property industry supporting its own people and showing the strength of the community we have around us.
Alongside the run itself, we’ll be raising awareness across our professional networks and social media channels to encourage as much support as possible. Every donation, share and conversation helps shine a light on the incredible work the Propertymark Trust does behind the scenes for people within our profession.
Most importantly, this event is about giving something back to an industry that has given so many of us careers, friendships and opportunities. If we can raise funds that help even one person through a difficult time, support someone’s mental wellbeing, or help somebody access qualifications that change their future, then every mile will be worthwhile. I’m hugely grateful to everyone supporting the challenge and can’t wait to be part of such a fantastic event”.
