A local charity whose mission it is to provide free, longer-term counselling
Belgarum Estate Agents announced at the end of 2025 they were seeking candidates for their 2026 charity campaign. After a call for all local charities to submit applications, the team at Belgarum received a large volume of applications, all from local and wonderful charities doing so much good work in and around the city. Having reviewed and putting them to a vote, a final decision has been made.
Belgarum’s 2026 Charity of the Year is Winchester Youth Counselling, a local charity whose mission it is to provide free, longer-term counselling, therapy and mental health support to all young people aged 11-25 in Winchester, as well as support and advice for parents and families, so that young people are supported to thrive and live healthier, happier lives.
This year, Belgarum will be completing challenges as a team to raise awareness and funds for this excellent charity. As a local, independent business, supporting their community is at the heart of what they do.
The vital work that Winchester Youth Counselling provides for young people in our city is more important than ever, offering a safe and supportive space for those who need it most.
We know that many young people are facing increasing pressures
Starting strong in May, the team at Belgarum Estate Agents will be lacing up their walking shoes and clocking up 100 miles together to help raise money and awareness for this incredible local charity.
They chose to take on the challenge of walking 100 miles in May not only to raise vital funds, but also to help raise awareness of the important work the charity does to support young people across Winchester and the surrounding areas. As a team, they wanted to do something that encouraged wellbeing, teamwork, and community spirit while pushing ourselves towards a meaningful goal. The challenge is bringing the team together, encouraging them to spend more time outdoors, and giving them the opportunity to connect with clients, local businesses, friends, and family in support of a cause that makes a genuine difference locally.
We all know that many young people are facing increasing pressures and challenges, and access to counselling and support services can be life changing. By taking on this fundraising challenge, the Belgarum team hope to contribute towards ensuring those services remain available for the young people who need them most.
