Estate agency consultant, trainer and speaker Toby Martin is taking on a unique fundraising challenge this September, staying awake for 24 hours while hosting a live broadcast in aid of Breast Cancer Now and Andy’s Man Club.
The 24-Hour Open House will run from 9am on Thursday 3rd September to 9am on Friday 4th September, featuring 48 sessions across 24 hours. The programme includes training, podcasts, Q&As, panel discussions, quizzes and even a bedtime story, with guests from across the property industry and beyond.
Toby’s idea came from wanting to raise money in a way that used his own skills. “If I can host for one hour, I can probably host for 24,” he says. The event is free to watch, with donations supporting the two charities.
The charities were chosen to support important causes within the estate agency industry. Breast Cancer Now is the chosen charity of Women in Estate Agency, while Andy’s Man Club supports men’s mental health and suicide prevention.
Among the confirmed guests is Rory Sutherland, vice chairman of Ogilvy and author of Alchemy, alongside LinkedIn consultant John Espirian, behavioural science podcast host Phill Agnew and a host of property industry experts.
Sponsored by Kotini, every penny donated will go directly to the two charities.
Toby says: “I’m giving up a night’s sleep, which is probably the least difficult contribution anyone involved is making. Everyone else has given their time and expertise to this ridiculous idea. If you can spare something, I’d be enormously grateful, and if you can’t, just watch for free and tell someone else about it.”
