Agents Giving took up the 100k Challenge 17 Feb 2021

The Property Industry Came Out in Force to support the BHF 100k Challenge.
Agents Giving were proud to be able to support, take part in and really get behind this industry fundraising event.
In November last year Agents Giving Regional Ambassador from Pygott & Chrone, Jamie Aspland, came up with an idea. He wanted to raise some money for the British Heart Foundation. This charity helps so many people across the UK with heart and circulatory conditions, and supports world-leading research that results in life-altering advancements for people affected with these conditions.

We're proud to support and encourage
The challenge was to encourage the industry to walk or run 100k from 26th December – 31st January. Well that they did as hundreds of agents and suppliers took to their streets and local areas to clock up their 100k on their daily walks/exercise.
Agents Giving were proud to support, encourage as well as take part in this wonderful industry wide event. With some of the Agents Giving Board Directors and Team taking part all to raise mush needed funds for the cause.
The team from Agents Giving Included Fundraising Manager Yvonne Martin and Board Directors Peter Knight, Spencer Lawrence, Gary Barker and Regional Ambassador and the event organiser Jamie Aspland who played a key role getting fellow industry colleagues and supporters involved in this event.

It really helped clear your mind
Yvonne Martin comments “It was amazing to take part in this event and so important for everyone to get out and get some daily exercise and fresh air during lockdown. It really helped clear the mind and help focus on something different, we can’t underestimate the mental health issues that lockdown creates and this was a great way for people to channel their energies by walking or running for this great cause”.

It was really something to be apart of
Spencer Lawrence from Paramount comments; “There was a really amazing community feel with everyone encouraging each other and celebrating each other’s distances on Strava and social media. It was really something to be part of. Whether you did 2 km or 20 km, it didn’t matter, you were part of it”. Read Spencer’s full blog here
Just over £60,000 has been raised for the BHF on the main fundraising page, with about £8,000 raised elsewhere. Spencer himself has raised nearly £2,900.
At an online gathering of all of the participants they shared stories from people who had been helped by the BHF in one way or another. It was amazing to learn just how many young and otherwise active and healthy people can be affected by a heart or circulatory condition.

A massive shout of thanks to Jamie Aspland and Kevin Scrupps at Pygott and Crone for organising the great challenge.
