Women in Residential Property supporting victims of trafficking and modern slavery

Managing Director Emma Vigus at MIO and founder of Women in Residential Property (WIRP) are hosting an online Tiramisu Master class on 22nd April, with support from Agents Giving, in aid of the Charity, Ella’s which provides vital support to women who’ve been the victims of trafficking and modern slavery.

The masterclass will be hosted by Francesca Bragoli of the Rosemary Thymes. Francesca is a cook, food writer and photographer who loves to bring happiness to others through food. Attendees will be sent a recipe card before the event to allow them to stock up on ingredients. Francesca will then take attendees through a step by step guide to making the perfect tiramisu with every stage shown on screen.

It's been such a challenging year

Tickets for the Masterclass, which will be available soon on Eventbrite, will cost £20 with 50% of all proceeds going to Ella’s.

Emma Vigus, Chair of WIRP comments “It’s been such a challenging year for everyone with limited opportunity to take some time out and do something fun and different.   l was lucky enough to join one of Francesca’s virtual cookery classes at Christmas. Francesca is wonderful, striking just the right balance between being fun and informative. I have to say that making a Tiramisu is definitely not as easy as I thought!”

Tickets are on sale

Emma applied for an Agents Giving and The Guild of Property Professionals support grant.

We hope you have a complete sellout of tickets for this exciting event and great cause.

Women in Residential Property raises £200 for Ella’s

Supported by a generous donation from Agents Giving, a tiramisu cook-along organised by the Women in Residential Property (WIRP) network recently raised £200 for the charity, Ella’s which supports women who’ve been the victims of trafficking and modern slavery.

Ably instructed, on screen, by food writer and photographer Francesca Bragoli of the Rosemary Thymes, guests were given step by step instructions to produce one of Italy’s most famous desserts. The results speak for themselves with several guests reporting that their tiramisus were happily consumed within twenty-four hours!

In the last five months, WIRP has raised almost £1,500 for Ella’s with many WIRP members also supporting the charity via regular donations.

The next WIRP zoom event is a panel discussion on Cladding which will take place on the 13 May at 4.30pm. Tickets are available via Eventbrite for just £6, with 50% of the proceeds going to Ella’s.
