Adrian Knapper exp MNAEA is a well-known and highly regarded estate agent who has shown incredible resilience in recent years. Now a respected member of the eXp Estate Agents self-employed model, Adrian’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring.
Adrian tells “We are on a mission to make a difference in the fight against prostate cancer. Through the power of music and community, we aim to raise awareness and funds to support research and education about this important cause. By recruiting 40 Staffordshire men who are new to choir singing we will train them in 10 weeks to give a professional concert raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.
In 2018, Adrian discovered a large lump in his chest and underwent a procedure to have it removed. Unfortunately, during the operation, a nerve in his chest was accidentally severed, resulting in vocal cord palsy, a condition that affected the tone and strength of his voice, making communication extremely difficult.
At the time, Adrian was running his own high street estate agency, a Whitegates franchise, which he had built with great passion and success. However, due to the challenges his voice presented, he was forced to make the heartbreaking decision to close the business.

Yet, true to his nature, Adrian refused to give up. His love for estate agency, particularly connecting with people and helping them move into their dream homes, never faded.
When he discovered the eXp self-employed model, he saw an opportunity to rebuild his business on his own terms, and he has since become one of its most respected and admired members.
Recently, Adrian underwent another procedure at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham to help improve his voice. As part of his recovery, he began attending speech therapy sessions, which have played a crucial role in helping him regain confidence and control in his communication.
