The show will appeal to diverse musical tastes
Director Nick Bird of Bailey Bird & Warren Estate Agents and team are organising a Tribute Show in aid of Fakenham Rotary Club
Nick tells “I have lived and worked in Fakenham all my life, and set up Bailey Bird & Warren with my friend and colleague Andrew Warren on 1st September 2015 – so we’re about to celebrate our 10th Anniversary!! As a Company we have always wanted to be at the heart of the local community. We want the people of Fakenham to support our business, so we try to support as many events in the Town as possible as ‘pay back’ – I, (for instance), am the Town’s Father Christmas, and can be found sitting in a Grotto throughout December – and for other Charities have travelled as far as Ipswich and London, donned in the red suit!
Bailey Bird & Warren has had a long association with the Fakenham Rotary Club, and have helped them with publicity, printing flyers and posters, and being their booking office for their events. Recently they have organised an indoor ’Dry Duck Race’, they have held a Dinner & Cabaret, and soon after the “Cliff as If” Evening, they are planning a Murder Mystery Night. As you can tell, a very active Club which raises a good amount of money for charities and good causes, around the Fakenham area, Nationally and Internationally – and financially assisting in disaster relief wherever it is needed.
The aim of the Cliff Richard Tribute Act is to replenish the Rotary’s Bank account, as the Club has, earlier this year, given a large amount of money to Local & National Charities. This event is also specifically raising money for the Fakenham Community First Responders who are a great asset to this rural area, when other emergency responders may be delayed.
Sadly the Club only has 10 active members now, many of whom are all quite ‘senior’! By holding an event which may encourage people to attend, it is hoped others may show an interest in Rotary and help with future good causes.
Tickets for the “Cliff….as If” concert are on sale now, (from Bailey Bird & Warren 01328 864763), priced at £12.50 each, (£10 for school age children). There will be a pay bar, and a raffle!!”
