From Quiz Challenge to Charitable Impact

Jonathan Hammond M.B.E. and the team at Hammond Property Services Estate Agency in Bingham are no strangers to fundraising. Since 2007, Jonathan has been creating his annual charity quiz, bringing together friends, families, colleagues and quiz enthusiasts to enjoy a fiendishly challenging test of their grey matter – all while raising vital funds for Childline.

The latest Annual Charity Quiz launched on 1 September 2026, with this year’s theme, “Bringing Sunshine in their Smiles.” Last year, the quiz raised an incredible £5,183, helping provide vital support to vulnerable children and young people. With every call or email to Childline costing around £4 to deal with, that fantastic fundraising helped give 1,295 children the opportunity to have their voice heard.

The 2026 quiz has now been printed in 5,000 copies, which are being distributed to people who are unable to print their own copy, as well as being shared throughout the local community. Jonathan and his team are also sending 200 quizzes by post to previous entrants, covering the second-class postage themselves, to encourage as many entries and donations as possible.

Fancy taking on the challenge? Download your copy of the 2026 Annual Charity Quiz and submit your entry by 12 noon on Saturday 16 January 2027. It’s the perfect way to bring family, friends and colleagues together for some friendly competition while supporting a very important cause.

Jonathan has also become known for finding some wonderfully unique personalities to draw the four winning entries. Last year, he was delighted to meet Jonty Stephens and Ian Ashpitel, appearing as Morecambe & Wise at The Curve Theatre in Leicester, who helped with the wonderfully chaotic prize draw.

Agents Giving and The Guild of Property Professionals are delighted to support Jonathan and the Hammond Property Services team with an Agents Giving Fund grant, helping this long-running and hugely successful fundraising initiative continue to grow and raise even more for Childline.
