Operations Manager Laura Williams-Wynn at Inspire Estate Agents and team are taking to the ice! Laura tells “We believe in putting our whole selves into everything we do, and on 20 June, that means climbing into an ice bath. Our team is taking on a full ice bath and bucket pour challenge to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society, a cause that sits very close to our hearts.
For our Director, Matt, this is personal. His mum is living with late stage dementia, and watching someone you love navigate that journey changes you. It makes you want to do something. This challenge is our way of doing something, together, as a team.
Dementia affects around 944,000 people in the UK today, and that number is expected to rise to 1.6 million by 2040. Behind every one of those numbers is a family like Matt’s. Research is the only thing that will change those statistics, and that is why every pound we raise matters”.
Saying yes to uncomfortable things is sometimes exactly what is needed!
“The Inspire team are not natural cold water enthusiasts. We are estate and lettings agents based in Crawley, West Sussex, and our usual challenge involves difficult negotiations and impossible deadlines, not ice baths. But we said yes, because saying yes to uncomfortable things is sometimes exactly what is needed!
We have already started fundraising and the response from our clients, landlords, and local community has been brilliant. People understand why we are doing this, and they have been generous. Every donation brings us closer to a total we are genuinely proud of.
