Our community needs a life saving defibrillator
Founder and CEO Laura Howey of Love Property has a boutique estate agency based in Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire since 2009. The area is home to the largest military base in Europe with approximately 15,000 full time soldiers based here with their families.
Laura comments “As you can imagine the demographic is people who are into fitness and healthy lifestyles but unfortunately these are often the ones that may need the use of an emergency defibrillator after a cardiac episode and there are only 2 in the town and both only available during certain hours.
We are planning the £2,000 of fundraising needed
I felt this was a concern for the community and we could do something to help so I have started raising funds to pay for a defibrillator to be located on our office wall which is based in the town centre.
We have so far had a raffle and have some more fund raising planned to raise the £2000 needed. I have also planned to set up a charity and once we have this first defibrillator we intend to continue fund raising with the intention of supplying them throughout the town”.
