Founded in 2017 by Emma Vigus, Managing Director of Mio, Women In Residential Property organises informal networking events for women working across all facets of the residential property sector from agency through to lending, with the aim encouraging collaboration across the industry.

WIRP will host 6 events, throughout England in 2020, with the first event taking place, in London, on the 23rd January.  Their penultimate lunch of 2019 at which Katrine Sporle, the Property Ombudsman spoke, attracted over 50 attendees and raised over £700 for Ella’s whilst WIRP’S first regional lunch, in Birmingham, was attended by 35 ladies who enjoyed an informative discussion on the impact of cladding concerns on mortgage lending.

Thanks to sponsorship from some of the residential property sector’s leading businesses and to support from Agents Giving, WIRP can maximise the funds raised for the Charity, Ella’s which provides independent long-term aftercare for women who have experienced abuse through trafficking and sexual exploitation. WIRP hopes to raise over £5,000 for Ella’s in 2020
