Chosing to support two charities which are close to their hearts
Oliver and Akers Estate agency have a phenomenal fund raising record. The St Albans based independent Estate Agency have raised in excess of £50,000 over the last 10 years for good causes.
This year Company Directors Anthony Oliver and Darran Wood have chosen to support two charities which are close to their hearts. The event will be raising funds for Willow Foundation, a charity set up by former Arsenal goalkeeping legend Bob Wilson and his wife Megs in memory of their daughter Anna who lost her battle with cancer aged 31 and also funds will be donated to Dementia UK.
The Oliver and Akers Golf day is this year being held at Dyrham Park Golf Club. on Friday 5th June. Around 100 participants will enjoy breakfast baps before heading out on a round of golf at the Hertfordshire country club. Dinner will follow golf, alongside fun and games such as “heads and tails”, a grand raffle and charity auction, all raising funds for these two good causes.

In previous years, the team have been delighted to welcome a host of celebrities to the event, including several Arsenal legends who have attended to support the Willow Foundation but also as guests of Oliver and Akers co founder Vic Akers who has been connected with Arsenal both as the manager of Arsenal Ladies (winning 35 trophies from 1993-2009) and more lately the Arsenal kit man until 2018.
The charity auction is always a lively event giving attendees an opportunity to bid on football memorabilia, golf products and a whole host of other items. The wonderful Matt Lucas, an avid Arsenal fan has in the past kindly donated his services as the charity auctioneer and carried out his role with great results!!
