London Colney estate agent Oliver and Akers raise money with an Agents Giving grantLocal Estate Agency Oliver and Akers have this year once again pledged their support to fundraise on behalf of MacMillan Cancer Care. 2019 marks the company’s 5th Charity Golf Day which is being held at the Shire London a unique course, the only one in the UK designed by the late Seve Ballesteros.

The company which is owned by Anthony Oliver and Vic Akers OBE ( previously of Arsenal FC) raised over £7000 for MacMillan at last years event and are looking to better the total this year.

The event which attracts 120 golfers each year is open to players at all levels and is always a highly enjoyable event. After tackling the very challenging course, golfers sit down to dinner which is followed by a fundraising auction and raffle.

In previous years the golfers have been joined by some celebrity players including football legends David Seaman and Ray Parlour who gave a very entertaining after-dinner speech!

The Agents Giving grant fund exists to help towards the setup costs of agent’s fundraising events, therefore maximising fundraising

so more of the money you raise goes directly to your chosen charity.

Information about the grant fund:

The grant is for agents and suppliers to the industry to help with their event set up costs.  Grants of up to £250 per office per year can be provided and you will need to supply a write up of your event along with an image to help Agents Giving promote your event oral social media platforms and website.  Applicants will be given the Agents Giving logo to use in their marketing and PR.  It is so simple to apply.  Terms and conditions apply.

There are many ways to get involved with Agents Giving from organising your own fundraising event to coming to one of ours.

You can organise an event and raise money for Agents Giving, just as many of our supporters do, from cycle rides, to canoeing coast to coast to a Soapbox Challenge event. Come to one of our events, and you’ll have a great time with industry colleagues and at the same time raise money for many amazing charities and wonderful causes across the UK.

In 2018, together with all our supporters, we donated to over 80 charities. In 2019 we want to beat that, so get in touch and add your charity to the list. All agents that work with us can display our logo on their website and marketing collateral.  We will also send you window stickers for you to display to show your community that you are part of the Agents Giving network.
