Running for Brain Tumour Charity
Agents Giving Board Member Jane Gardner, founder of Jane Gardner & Associates will be supporting Briony Creasey in the Landmark Half Marathon on Sunday 3rd April in aid of her mum Emma.
Mum Emma a great runner and personal trainer is no stranger to raising funds for charity taking on the London Marathon and many challenges for friends and family over the last few years.
Daughter Briony who is studying for her A levels whilst working comments “At the end of August 2021, we received the devastating news that my Mum was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour (Glioblastoma).
Together with my aunts Vicky and Janine we will run the Landmark Half Marathon
Having done research into this life changing diagnosis, we quickly realised the desperate need for further research and funding to help people like my Mum. Together, me and my crazy Aunts (Janine and Vicky) will be taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on April 3rd 2022. This is a cause extremely close to our hearts and we would be grateful for any support and donations for the Brain Tumour Charity. Mum would like to thank everyone for their love and support and will find it extremely entertaining watching us suffer the 13.1 miles on her behalf!! ”
Brain tumours are dramatically underfunded – it is the biggest cancer killer of people under the age of 40; it is the biggest cause of preventable and treatable blindness in children; just 19% of adults survive for 5 years after diagnosis. There is currently no cure, and very little is known about the causes….and yet only 2% of cancer research funding goes into this area.
