Its going to be extreme!

Agents Giving Patron Phil Spencer is taking on an extreme challenge at the end of March – pulling a sledge 85 kms across the snow and ice in northern Norway – all provisions, camping, crevasse crossing etc.

Phil comments “Its an arctic adventure without actually going to the pole! Its gonna be extreme and I shall be doing it for The Country Food Trust (helping to feed people living in food poverty). It scares me to even write that explanation down!!”

Agents Giving & the Guild of Property Professionals are pleased to support with a grant and wish Phil the best of luck for the great challenge.

Helping to support the homeless with a hot meal a day

Country Food Trust raise funds to provide meals to feed people in need.

Their meals are produced by a specialist food manufacturer. They are game based, high in protein, low in fat and are supplied in one of two ways:

  • In single, ready to use retort pouches that do not need to be refrigerated and have a one year shelf life.
  • In catering packs to those charities who feed a large number of people at any one time.

Their recipes have been devised by their Consultant Chef Tim Maddams who works tirelessly for the Charity and has devised recipes that are both tasty and nutritious and do not contain additives.

Currently they have three products:

  • The Country Casserole – a nutritious and warming pheasant casserole
  • The Country Curry – a mildly spicy pheasant curry
  • The Country Bolognese – a rich and tasty venison ragu.
