Abseiling down Peacehaven Cliffs
Lewis Thomas of The Letting Partnership along with The Letting Partnership’s Charity and Community Committee will be abseiling down Peacehaven Cliffs in Lewes, East Sussex for charities Safe in Sussex and West Sussex Mind. The event will take place on October 7th
Safe in Sussex is a local charity which provides a range of services such as refuge, support and donations for people experiencing or at risk of domestic abuse. When we brought together the C & C Committee, we asked if any staff had a particular charity for whom they would want to fundraise, and Safe in Sussex was immediately suggested by two committee members who had had family experience with the charity and felt it important to give something back to such an important service in our community. West Sussex Mind, who are co-hosting the abseil, are another local charity who provide support, specialist training and awareness campaigns for mental health. These two charities epitomise the Committee goal of supporting vital services in the community that we call home and raising awareness for everyone we can reach.
Don't look down
The challenge, monitored and supported by Hatt Adventures Shoreham, will consist of a safety briefing followed by a harnessed abseil down 90 feet of sheer cliff overlooking the English channel. Don’t look down!
