Putting on their trainers for the Half Marathon
Julie Brown and Catherine Wookey of Thomas Charles Lettings are no strangers to fundraising. On January 27th they will both put on their trainers and take on the London Winter Walk Half Marathon to raise funds and awareness for the Ruth Strauss Foundation.
Julie comments “Our mission is to help provide emotional support for families with dependent children to prepare for the death of a parent from cancer; and raises awareness and funds for research into rare lung cancers.

The Ruth Strauss Foundation
Ruth Strauss believe that all parents that receive a diagnosis for a cancer that cannot be cured, should have access to emotional support and guidance to help them prepare their children for what’s to come. We offer one to one virtual appointments with parents and primary care givers to help them start, and continue, open and honest conversations with their children about their condition.
Their support is tailored as each family different needs and would approach similar situations very differently. Their experienced practitioners will consider your child’s age, developmental stage, family setup and, and most importantly, how you are all currently coping as a family, living with an incurable diagnosis. The team will provide emotional support, guidance and resources to parents and primary care givers to help you through this difficult time.
