Julie Brown Manager of Thomas Charles Lettings, Bedford is supporting Lucy Tobutt the sister of Fleur.
Lucy is holding a black tie charity event on 21 October 2022 at Jurys Inn Milton Keynes for Keech Cottage Children’s Hospice in memory of her sister Fleur.
Lucy’s story “I had a sister called Fleur who was terminally ill with a condition called Progeria who unfortunately passed away when she was 2 years old. This is a rare genetic condition that causes a person to age prematurely, the children appear healthy but by the age of 2 years, they look as if they have become old too fast.
During Fleur’s lifetime she was a member of Keech Cottage in Luton and later became the face of the hospice. My family and other families could not have coped without them and we are forever grateful for what they have done for all of us.
Fleur’s story hit a lot of people in the nation which resulted in my parents going on various breakfast television shows to speak about Fleur. We had an ITV camera crew live with us to make a documentary on Fleur which was broadcasted and can also be found on YouTube
This event was meant to have been held in 2021 to mark what would have been Fleurs’ 21st birthday. However, due to the pandemic it was not able to go ahead.
The aim is to raise £20,000″.
