Our New Goal
Lettings Office Manager Vanessa Williams & the team of Webbers Estate Agents, will be once again supporting Fremington PTFA. Vanessa tells “Over the past year, your generous grant helped launch our Forest School project, which is now thriving and making a real difference for our children. We are extremely grateful for your support.
This year, we aim to provide swimming and water safety lessons for pupils at Fremington Primary School. Although the school has a pool, funding cuts mean lessons are limited to older children. We believe all children should learn to swim from a young age, especially in North Devon, where many live close to beaches and estuaries. Early lessons build confidence and vital life-saving skills, particularly for families unable to afford private tuition”.
The PTFA have been actively fundraising
“Our goal is to support a full year group of 30–50 pupils, with the hope of expanding to others if funding allows. This project will improve water confidence, promote safety, and ensure equal access to swimming opportunities.
The PTFA is actively fundraising through events such as Summer Fayres, Halloween Discos, and Reading Challenges. We are seeking a contribution of £350 to help deliver this project and would be happy to provide supporting invoices and costings.
Overall, we are raising £3,500 to fund swimming lessons, including pool costs, maintenance, and teaching. This initiative will give children essential skills, confidence, and knowledge that could ultimately save lives”.
