From nearly 25 stone to ultra finisher

We are delighted to be supporting Wesley Richards, Senior Surveyor at Maltbys Property Management in Bexhill-on-Sea, as he raises funds for the National Autistic Society.

At the end of 2024, Wes weighed nearly 25 stone. Since then, he has changed his lifestyle, lost around nine stone and discovered a love of running. Having only started running in April 2026, he has already brought his 5km time down from 38 minutes and 39 seconds to an impressive 25 minutes and 26 seconds.

On Saturday 24 October, Wes completed his biggest challenge yet: the 52.6km Beachy Head Ultra. Despite abysmal weather and a demanding course over the South Downs, he finished in 7 hours, 53 minutes and 42 seconds. Describing it as “the best feeling ever”, Wes was absolutely buzzing with his achievement.

Supporting Wes on the road to London

Wes is now preparing for the Hastings Half Marathon in March 2027 and the London Marathon in April, with a fundraising target of £3,500 for the National Autistic Society.

His “Sponsor a Mile” campaign gives local businesses and supporters the chance to sponsor a London Marathon mile for £50, with the finish line available for £100. It is a fantastic opportunity for the property industry to get behind one of its own and help create a more inclusive society for autistic people.

We are pleased to support Wes through the Agents Giving Grant Fund and share his inspiring journey. Wes is hugely grateful to everyone who has helped through sponsorship, donations and encouragement.
