@Home Team Volunteers 27 Apr 2020
Community Support
The team @Home Estate and Lettings Agency have created a joint community initiative with their local convenience store to help those locals who are self isolating and vulnerable in their local area of Horsham.
The @Home team are volunteering their time, using the company car, to offer a free delivery service to those in the community who are unable to get to the shops. Together they have recruited additional local volunteers and created a whole network of people to take orders, pack the shopping and deliver it within their nearby community.

The response so far has been fantastic and everyone using this service has been so grateful to receive the help on offer.
The team have been donating two hours a day of the company car and their time to deliver essential groceries.
Community Chest
The @Home team also run a very successful scheme called their Community Chest.
Paul Davies, Company Director comments;
“We are very proud of our Community Chest scheme and our vision is that we donate a portion of our sales fee to a community based, voluntary run organisation of the seller’s choice”.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to know that our donation goes fully into financial support for that group and the people that they support”.

“In addition to this, we help sponsor and financially support five local primary schools and Southwater’s Christmas fete. Community is at the heart of everything we do and having acted in treasury and secretary roles for similar types of organisations, I know funding can be extremely challenging and we’re delighted to support our unsung community heroes. To date, the amount used to support such organisations exceeds £10,000, having only launched the initiative in 2017”.

A spokesperson from one of these charities called The Springboard Project, Horsham comments; “The money donated from @Home makes such a difference to Springboard. Having a regular donation from their customers means that we can put it towards much needed activities for children and young people with a disability”.
