Paramount’s Gesture of Kindness to Macmillan 28 Jun 2021

A lovely example of how the amazing team at Paramount help make a big difference to their clients shared and written by Danielle Lanthier, Marketing & Project Manager at Paramount.
Our residents inspire us to donate – Two of our applicants had found their perfect home, but something wasn’t quite right. Find out how we fixed the problem and made a donation in the process.

Recently we had a lovely pair of applicants who found their perfect 2 bedroom property in Queen’s Park. In their eyes there was only one issue with the property – it came furnished. They already had their own furniture that perfectly fit their style and needs.

Typically, when a property comes furnished, there is a fee for us to remove the owner’s furniture and safely store it for the duration of the tenancy. One of the applicants worked at the Macmillan Cancer Support charity, and so Dexter, the consultant for the property, had an idea.
He suggested that as a gesture of kindness, we cover the storage fee for the owner’s furniture, and on top of that, we donate £240 – what we would have charged for storage for the year – to Macmillan.
The new residents were thrilled to be able to bring in their own furniture without an additional expense, and were very pleased with the donation to charity inspired by their move.
We look out for opportunities like this all the time. Chances to add something special to someone’s experience with us, and to make a positive contribution to our community in some way.
If you know of a way that we could help make a difference for someone, please just let us know!
Danielle Lanthier, Marketing & Project Manager at Paramount.
