Spicerhaart supporting Magic Moments Children’s Charity 24 Jul 2020

Jonathan is an award winning fundraiser

Jonathan Martin is no stranger to fundraising, he is an award winning fundraiser.  Jonathan who has been at Spicerhaart estate agents since 2007, is the Chairman of Magic Moments children’s charity, who are the key supporters.

This years planned Disneyland Paris trip of a lifetime for the children and their families has sadly been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, however they still managed to bring some great joy to the youngsters at the hospices.

Spicerhaart has raised over £1.55 million over the past 21 years

The charity, which was founded in 1998 by Alick Smith, the then Chairman of Spicerhaart, and his wife Val,  has raised more than £1.55 million over the past 21 years and taken hundreds of children with life-limiting illnesses and their families to meet Mickey and Minnie and their Disney friends.

It's hugely disappointing that we aren't able to make the trip

Chairman of Magic Moments’  Jonathan Martin comments “It’s obviously hugely disappointing that we aren’t able to make the trip with the children this year, particularly as their health is so vulnerable, as they absolutely love seeing the Disney characters and going on the rides.

We decided to send Disney to the children

“For many, it’s the last time they’ll have such an experience with their parents and siblings.

“So, instead, we decided to send a bit of Disney to them and we raided the Disney store online for treats and memorabilia, including embroidered cushions with the children’s names.

“They were absolutely delighted with their new goodies.”
