Thomas Morris supporting their neighbourhood 9 Apr 2020

Business as usual supporting their community

Team Thomas Morris have a great relationship with their local community, they work tirelessly to support food banks throughout the year as well as collecting winter coats for the homeless. The coronavirus pandemic means that all staff are now working from home.

Keeping families entertained for their wellbeing

The lockdown has not stopped the team from supporting the community. Members of staff on hearing there are neighbours in self-isolation, are supporting with food deliveries.

They have great initiatives to keep the neighbourhood wellbeing in good spirits, with new ideas for keeping families and children occupied through Thomas Morris facebook.

Thomas Morris Task Force moves into action

Managing Director Simon Bradbury comments “sales and letting colleagues are doing truly amazing things to support their local communities in these challenging times, even though technically they are not even working”.

Jan Newton and her partner from the Biggleswade office are 3D printing much needed face mask clips for Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue and various Care Homes.  So far 150 clips have been sent off with many more on the way.

The Ramsey Branch is sharing the love

Nurse Laura Kirby-Deacon put out a call for people to send small handcrafted crochet hearts to be given to patients who have contracted covid-19 and their families.  Laura works as a sister at the Great Western Hospital ICU in Swindon.

Ali Hull from the Ramsey Branch is sharing the love and making these beautiful hearts.  Lauren said these hearts could bring comfort to families who could not see their loved ones before they pass away.
