David Newnes, our esteemed Chairman, alongside dedicated fundraising managers Yvonne Martin and Vikki Girton, had the honour of presenting a substantial cheque for £21,993 to The Trussell Trust.
This significant donation is the fruit of numerous fundraising activities held throughout 2023, including the dazzling #StrictlyAgentsDancing2023, the thrilling #DragonBoatRace, the endurance-testing #PropertyCycleChallenge, and the prestigious #EAMasters2023.
What do the Trussell Trust do?
The Trussell Trust, a beacon of hope for countless individuals across the UK, operates a nationwide network of food banks providing not just emergency food supplies but also crucial support and advice to those facing hardship. With a staggering 37% increase in food supplies provided from April 2022 to March 2023, the Trust’s work has never been more vital. Their efforts to not only address immediate needs but also tackle the root causes of poverty, exemplify a commitment to creating a future where food banks are no longer necessary.
