Dawsons is a local Estate Agents covering the length and breadth of Swansea and Llanelli coast lines in South Wales. Dawsons employ approximately 130 staff, all of whom have been selected for their commitment to being successful and their desire to be part of a winning team. Many of the team have been with the individual Partners for over 20 years giving the company a real family feel. With much of the branch teams becoming firm friends making the office a happy place to be. Working together we have also taken part in many a fundraiser, local charity and community events over the years. Having abseiled down a Gower cliff to raise monies for the Welsh Air Ambulance, sky diving for Ty Olwen, Climbing Pen Y Fan mountain for local neonatal NICU along with our annual commitments to local events, such as the Burry Port Raft Race, Wales Airshow, Mumbles RFC Cracker 7’s, local school PTA events and much more.
Helping the elderly in Swansea
When lockdown first started, the Dawsons team spoke with, wrote to or emailed all of their elderly tenants asking if they would like help in any way, should they be self-isolating or staying at home for any reason. Nearly all of the recipients replied to say ‘thank you’ ‘what a great idea’ and ‘lovely gesture’, although the majority were not needing our help, initially.
Since the continued lockdown has extended, a number of those who didn’t need help initially, have since been in touch and the Dawsons team have gladly helped. The majority were requests for essential items of food to be purchased for them. We have been emailed basic shopping lists or spoken over the phone to get the items listed. We have shopped and dropped to their front doors where the tenants have left money for us on the doorstep in an envelope or container.
Staff donated Easter Eggs
Each member of the Dawsons team donated Easter Eggs which were delivered to the Paediatric Ward at Morriston Hospital for the children who were in the ward over the Easter period. All of the children are also in private rooms so here are the nurses and ward staff with the eggs before they were distributed. Don’t worry, they were all disinfected!
